Two Dimensional Design

Course Overview:
This course is a fundamental exploration of the elements, principles, and techniques of design as they apply to two- dimensional art forms. There will be an exploration in a variety of media, processes, and applications of two-dimensional design.

Course topics include concepts of two-dimensional art and design as they apply to line, shape, value, texture, color, space, repetition, variety, rhythm, balance, emphasis, scale, proportion, and unity.

As we progress through the course, I will go over each assignment at the beginning of class. Should you ever need to go back over the assignment or you wish to print it out and keep it in your sketchbook, use the links under the Assignments heading.

We will have some readings and responses throughout the semester, these will also be placed on the page marked Readings.
