Portfolio Preparation

Course Overview:
Documentation of a student’s work is one of the key elements that will be used in the college application process for student’s applying to a 4-year institution or dedicated art college. It is used to analyze a student’s abilities, skills, and talent.

Therefore, the course of study for ART 2510 will include, but is not limited to, discussions and activities leading to the development of a portfolio that will place the student’s ability in a more favorable light in order to gain entrance into the college of their choice.

Note: It is important to remember that this course acts as a sort of introductory guide only. There is no “formula” for the perfect portfolio. Each school will have different criteria for admitting students into their program. In no way does this course or the work performed by the student for the completion of this course guarantee acceptance into another school.
