Prospecting with Mark Mcleod
Solid Gold! Prospecting with Mark Mcleod involved the “finding” of the world’s largest gold nugget in an abandoned quarry near Syracuse, NY. For this project I created the gold nugget from Fiberglass, steel, Bondo and roughly 15 combinations of gold paint, then buried it, dressed up like a prospector, and “found” it. The nugget is roughly 72” by 48” by 36” and is shown with 3 32” by 40” inkjet prints that document the find of the century.
