deCentral Park was a Syracuse University initiated collaboration between the Department of Fine Arts and the Architecture Department. The accepted work would be situated at the Leuben House (a Syracuse extension) in downtown Manhattan to coincide with the opening of Christo’s Gates in Central Park.

The idea was to create saffron colored boxes and place the soil Christo would remove into each one of the boxes, thus allowing anyone to literally take home a Christo work. A website url was to be printed in each box to allow for tracking. Our group won second place.
