This project was inspired by the whole process of putting together and creating work for the final MFA Thesis Exhibition. This was a major part of the exhibition. I googled my name “Mark Mcleod” and emailed as many other people with the same name as I could. These were not artists, but ranged in occupation from middle school student, to nuclear scientist, to movie reviewer and ages from 7 to 56 from all over the United States. I received 7 works, some mailed, some picked up, from “other Mark Mcleods”. All I asked them to do was to create a sculpture, whatever they thought that might be.
